Megan Rotondo

Dr. Megan Rotondo is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience conducting psychotherapy, testing and consultation services for children, families and adults. Her concentration is in psychoanalytic principles with her advanced training and competency. She dedicates herself to private practice helping clients with improving their functioning capacities and personal satisfaction. Her special interests include, but are not limited to, interpersonal challenges, anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, wellness and personal growth.

Dr. Rotondo has broad experience conducting psychological assessments for diagnostic clarity and treatment considerations in outpatient, in-patient and forensic settings. She is competent is determining intellectual, processing, learning and personality functioning. In addition, her experience includes conducting occupational evaluations (fitness for duty assessments; Immigration assessments), court-ordered and forensic evaluations (expert testimony in dependency proceeding and parental fitness/TPR determinations) and neuropsych screenings.

She taught professional development seminars for mental health clinicians in correctional settings on topics on Self Harm, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Trauma. She assisted instructors with master’s-level and doctoral-level psychology students in Developmental, Behavioral Assessment, Behavioral Criminology and Violence Risk Assessment. She spent extensive time as a graduate research assistant with the death penalty, mental health and survivor assessment.

Dr. Rotondo earned her Bachelor’s degree (Magna Cum Laude) at Florida Atlantic University and obtained her Master’s and Doctoral degree (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. Her Pre-Doctoral Internship was with the Florida Department of Corrections in Zephyrhills, FL, where she focused on inpatient and outpatient sessions for the forensic population. Throughout her training, she facilitated individual, family and group psychotherapy with voluntary and court-ordered clients. Dr. Rotondo is proud to be finishing up her extensive post-doc work at the Florida Psychanalytic Center in Miami.
