
Mrs. Sigalit “Sigi” Ashwal Werbin is a licensed Mental Health Counselor who conducts individual and family therapy. She treats children, adolescents and adults. Her clinical interests include, but are not limited to, working with clients who suffer from anxiety, depression and interpersonal challenges.
Mrs. Werbin’s areas of interest include parenting skills, adjustment issues such as premarital consultation, divorce and blended families and college transition. Mrs. Werbin has extensive expertise in multicultural competency and is bilingual (Hebrew and English). Humor, warmth, compassion, genuine curiosity, and a desire to help others are hallmarks of her character and practice.
Developing strong therapeutic relationships with clients is key to their success. Her collaborative approach makes therapy feel like team work, and makes the client feel understood and supported. Mrs. Werbin utilizes Cognitive and Behavioral approaches (CBT) to help her clients build a healthy belief structure. She has over 20 years of working with children, and has vast education and experience in child development.
Mrs. Werbin earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and a Masters of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. She also has intensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the Beck Institute and training in Play Therapy from the Play Strong Institute. Mrs. Werbin is an active member of the American Counseling Association and the Association for Play Therapy.
