
Dr. Melissa Kwavnick is a licensed clinical psychologist who works with diverse populations from young children to seniors. She provides individual, couples and family therapy. She is a dedicated and enthusiastic psychologist who works with individuals seeking symptomatic relief as well as personal growth.
Her dedication to help others in private practice, community mental health centers and hospital settings truly defines her. Her training and expertise is expansive from children services, college and young adults, forensic settings to older adults. Dr. Kwavnick utilizes empirically supported psychological treatments for children and adults, including but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. She has experience helping individuals with many challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment and transitional challenges, medical complications, grief/loss and parenting skills.
Dr. Kwavnick earned her doctorate and master’s in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Ft.Lauderdale. She received her bachelor of science from Bradley University. She trained under Dr. Steven Gold, a noted clinical psychologist known for trauma resolution. She also did extensive research and published in this specialty area with him.
