
As a bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Kristine “Kristy” Youst enjoys working with people who are struggling to live a meaningful life. Her compassion and authenticity create a safe environment for her clients to achieve personal growth and hope for a brighter future. Mrs. Youst utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Person-Centered Therapy and Narrative Therapy. She approaches each client on an individualized basis and strives to empower, support and strengthen their well-being and mental health.
In addition to being in private practice, Mrs. Youst has worked in treatment settings such as community-based mental health, residential and partial hospitalization programs, and intensive outpatient therapy programs. She has experience in treating those struggling with substance abuse. Her special interests also include work with anxiety, depression, interpersonal struggles and grief.
Mrs. Youst earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Auburn University and earned her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
