Dr. George Shepeard provides individual therapy, consultation services, and crisis intervention to adults and adolescents. Dr. Shepeard conducts outreach seminars and psycho-educational workshops. His specialties include working with individuals with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and adjustment challenges. His special interest is in sport and performance psychology to guide clients to analyze and enhance their athletic functioning abilities.
Dr, Shepeard, a licensed psychologist in Florida, earned a masters degree from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va., and received a masters degree and a Doctor of Psychology degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. He completed an internship at the Counseling Center at the University of New Hampshire and has worked with college students for many years. He employs an integrative therapy style that is guided by his belief that our relationships greatly affect our sense of well-being and fulfillment. He also has a specialization in working in emergency services and crisis situations. He also serves as an adjunct professor for the FIU Departments of Psychology, Education and the College of Business.
