PAYMENT AND POLICIES
InPsych Consultants, P.A. has usual and customary fees that are compatible with the Southwest Broward mental health community. Self pay, fee-for-service, deductible, copayment, and coinsurance fees are payable before each session by cash, check, or credit card. Reduced fee services are available on a limited basis. If a patient does not show up for a scheduled appointment, and did not notify us at least 24 hours in advance, the patient will be required to pay a fee for the time reserved that the insurance company will not be billed for.
INSURANCE
InPsych Consultants, P.A. will be happy to check potential and current patient’s insurance benefits. We have providers on many PPO, POS, EAP, and HMO plans. As a courtesy, we submit the insurance claim forms for both In-Network and Out-of-Network insurance plans. We are committed to being diligent and efficient from when you call in with your insurance information down to obtaining the reimbursement from your insurance carrier. Unfortunately, there are times when insurance representatives misquote benefits or claims are processed incorrectly. Although we will make every effort to sort out the potential discrepancy in a timely fashion, you are in the end still responsible for the services that were rendered. It is recommended that you know your benefits and limitations to prepare yourself for potential charges accrued due to the misinformation provided to us or changes in your policies. It is also important to note that most ADHD, psychoeducational, personality, and psychological testings are typically not covered by your insurance plan. However, we will be happy to call in your benefits to verify your particular plan.
InPsych Consultants, P.A. is hopeful that the new Parity Act will help patients have full access to enhance and improve their mental health similarly to their medical health. In the interim, please note that most insurance plans may have limitations to behavioral health coverage with a certain number of limited therapy sessions per year covered. That coverage may also require additional authorizations routinely. Most likely, the number of visits allotted is for all accrued visits from any behavioral health provider that you see. This means, if you are seeing a psychiatrist and a therapist simultaneously and utilizing your benefits at both facilities or with both providers, then both visits will likely count toward the amount you are given yearly. Should your benefits expire, your InPsych Consultants, P.A. provider will do their best to help your continuity of care and offer you alternative fee arrangements for counseling with us and or link you to a community outreach center.
