Bob Buscemi, LMHC is a licensed mental-health counselor who conducts individual, couples, and family therapy to a multicultural clientele from adolescents to seniors. Mr. Buscemi is a successful therapist with innovative cognitive behavioral counseling skills resulting in accelerated patient retention and satisfaction. He works with individuals with many challenges including but not limited to adjustment difficulties, transitional and stage of life challenges, relationship issues, anxiety, stress management, depression, bipolar, and addictions (adolescents and adults). Mr. Buscemi also conducts co-parenting consultations regularly. He has expertise in employee assistance programs (EAP) and critical incidents. In addition, Mr. Buscemi provides couples and family therapy to enhance communication and conflict resolution skills.
He has dedicated his clinical work in private practice, community mental health, forensic and hospital settings. In the past 15 years, he has focused his efforts and time in the private practice sector, conducting mental health and substance abuse therapy services for individuals, groups, and families as well as EAP assessments and counseling. Prior to that, Mr. Buscemi has extensive forensic expertise with juveniles with addiction challenges, court-related and behavioral issues.
Mr. Buscemi earned his bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of North Florida. He has a certification in CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management) through the city of Jacksonville. He also is a Certified Experiential Therapist trained though Experiential Therapy Inc. He is a certified R.O.P.E.S. Therapist trained through Project Adventure Therapy Inc. Ongoing continuing education courses also serve as an enriching part of Mr. Buscemi’s conceptual framework and knowledge base.
