Andie Segal, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, helps adults, children, couples, and families deal with mental-health problems, including stress, anxiety, depression, adjustment, grief and loss. She specializes in working with couples and families to create better communication and improved dynamics. She’s adept at helping youth cope with school anxiety and with developing skills for managing both time and stress.
Mrs. Segal, who has been licensed since 2001, earned her Master of Social Work degree from Barry University in Miami. Her Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology is from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She is NOVA certified in Crisis Intervention. She trained with PAIRS, a relationship skills program designed to nurture and repair relationships using healing attitudes and constructive behavior. If it’s not marital counseling you seek, but an amicable way to end a marriage, Mrs. Segal provides divorce mediation designed to help you and your spouse work through issues that need to be addressed to obtain the divorce decree. She does so in a client-driven, non-adversarial, cooperative environment that is less stressful, takes less time and is less expensive than traditional divorce litigation.
Mrs. Segal’s assessment and intervention skills have been valuable in her diverse background in private practice, community agencies, the Florida Department of Children and Families, and as a high school guidance counselor for the Broward County School District.
